<p>The idea of a Situated Story has ancestors in the <a href="http://www.locative-media.org/">Locative Story</a>, the <a href="http://lukes.me/papers/transmedia-storytelling-the-art-of-world-building/">Transmedial Story</a>, the  <a href="http://www.installationart.net/MenuItems/contents.html">Installation</a>, and probably in <em>site specific performance</em>.<br />
 A main reference point is the research of Henry Jenkins, as published in <em><a href="http://books.google.nl/books?id=RlRVNikT06YC&#038;dq=convergence+culture&#038;printsec=frontcover&#038;source=bn&#038;hl=nl&#038;ei=oJKPTISJJcisOMHCtPAM&#038;sa=X&#038;oi=book_result&#038;ct=result&#038;resnum=4&#038;ved=0CD0Q6AEwAw#v=onepage&#038;q&#038;f=false">Convergence Culture &#8211; where old and new media collide</a></em>,  with a couple of important differences and additions.
